Delk,
Your comments are well taken. I know you speak from experience. I didn't plan to do the build myself just the pull/install:
S-14 crank. Blueprinted, balanced, Lightened rods, Schrick 292, Sidedrafts. Blah Blah Blah. Of course, this is the engine I wanted...It's easy to get carried away when your just imagining what might be rather than what needs to be now. BTW, I hadn't planned to go 92mm as I won't have any where to go from there. Thanks for your input. If you think these specs. are b.s. or not worth it let me know.Jonathan T.

P.S. approx $3500 from Topend, MM, Korman, Ireland, etc.
: : J and E pistons are about as cheap and you can 92 mm bore it.
: Head about a hundred gaskets and bearings about one and a half , re grind under 200.00 built long block and machine work under 300.00 pistons and rings 500. 00 big bore gasket 100.00
: so where is this 4-5 grand.
: If I can pull a motor and put it back in ....
