Nope, the Bosch Platinums are definitely crap. I have had best results with NGKs. Based on your post above, this is the least of your worries at this point, but once you get the car running you'll probably want to swap the plugs.

: I wish this post would have been up yesterday before I went out and spent eight bucks on Bosch Platinum spark plugs! Oh well, Champion lawn mower plugs would be better than my old Bosch plugs. I hope for my sake that you just got a bad set or something.
