According to the manual the drive shaft needs to be straight across the center bearing in the vertical as well as horizontal direction. In my case the trans would hit the top of the tunnel before the center bearing mounts would be fully seated with the drive shaft held perfectly straight verically. So, I dropped the new trans mounts in the tunnel to clear the trans tunnel interference and shimmed down off of the center support bolts with a few washers to keep the driveshaft straight verically. When i checked horizontally, I noticed that the shaft had a kink in it so I redrilled the holes for the cross member and did some grinding on th long end so that the end of the trans sat more towards the passenger side to straigten out the drive shaft. We are talking 1/8 to 1/4 inches here not inches. Peter
