I haven't used them in a BMW, but they've got to be better than the Platinums. Any full-diameter electrode plug (as opposed to the wire type used by the platinums) should be adequate. I personally like NGKs, but the car should run reasonably well on any similar plug (provided proper heat range, etc.) If you want a long-life precious metal plug, see if they make the Bosch Silvers in the correct spec. for a 2002.

: Just to be contrary, I've used Campion plugs for 30 years in me Bimmers without any problems. Is there some data to indicate they suck, or just word of mouth?
