: I got lucky and found a 1983 320"is" parts car.

: When you say you "had the brackets", do you mean the 2002 brackets or just use the brackets from the 320?

: Good luck with '71!

: : : Any advice before I put my e21 recaro's in my 73 2002. I have heard they don't centre in front of the steering wheel. Any advice is much appreciated.

: : Steve,

: : I had a set of recaros out of 320s and it seemed centered to me when I had installed them, I had the brackets and they slid right in and they felt great. I didn't notice being off center and I'm a Mechanical Engineer
: : Question: Where did you get your Recaros from?, I recently sold my '73 and in the process of buying a '71, which has the stock horsehair seats. I been spoiled by the Recaros.

: : '73 Had one
: : '71 Soon to have one

The brackets were with the Recaros, I assumed they were the original 320s ones. The 2002 brackets were left on the other seats. You can ask Sean Steele from CNPR in San Diego, reilly knowledgable about 2002's, plus I bought them form him.
His number is on the Web Ring, don't know it off the top of my head.

Good Luck,
Jim
