Vinyl top 74 '02 (archive)

Does anyone have ,or has anyone seen a factory vinyl top on the 74-76 series 2002's??
I have a 74 2002 that im stripping for paint and i;m wondering if I should keep the top on or rip it off because there are a few little rust bubbles underneath.
The car is the off-white(dont know the factory color name for it) and the top is black.
If it isnt factory; whoever put it on did a really good job.
