O.K. help me dream a little.. (archive)

Got this 67 1600 running good (but still needs some paint soon) and it is my daily driver. It is all stock and, the engine was freshly rebuilt. Regularly asparated (single barrel solex). Stock cam. Stock head.

I want to fuel inject it with a SDS 'F' type system. Distributor-less ignition. Fully programable.

I would be happy with an extra 20hp over stock. I think with this system I may relize a little more..

I need to 'list' the various projects involved with this conversion.

1.Fuel tank/fuel pumps/lines.

2.manifold/fuel rail/injectors

3.crank pulley machining/fit for sensors.

Has anybody tried this on a 1600 engine?

I know I should get her painted but, I jus' want to do this 'tweak', then I will be ready for cosmetic work..

I hate neat looking, fresh, clean, cars. I'll take that runs perfect.

I tend to kill mosquitos with sledge hammers. So, the 318 injection system swap is out, unless sombody can convince me otherwise..
