Hey John. I am going to go the Turbo route later this year and Top-End has some great info. and products for you to look at. The $3500 price tag is for drive-in, drive-out service. If you just buy the electronic parts necessary and boneyard a 318 manifold/fuel rail, a 5 series throttle body and have an intake tube made, you can save alot of cash. You get better torque and the dual side-draft won't really benefit you unless you have a turbo. I am totally with you on the programmable FI option. Big bucks up front but total programmability and reliability. If the full engine management option is too much, get the DIS ignition. Still the same reliability and performance but works great with carbs. Good luck in your quest.

: Got this 67 1600 running good (but still needs some paint soon) and it is my daily driver. It is all stock and, the engine was freshly rebuilt. Regularly asparated (single barrel solex). Stock cam. Stock head.

: I want to fuel inject it with a SDS 'F' type system. Distributor-less ignition. Fully programable.

: I tend to kill mosquitos with sledge hammers. So, the 318 injection system swap is out, unless sombody can convince me otherwise..

: Dream a little..

: John McA
