No, not the shifter, but the knuckle in the tranny (archive)

But the shifter is already completely disassmbled; that's not the problem. I'm talking about what Dave Vaarco is calling the "shift knuckle" protruding from the tip of the tranny which needs to be "replaced" with the shortened shift knuckle for the 5-speed conversion (not a short shift kit).

How do you get the old knuckle out?
