Just had my '69 painted red by a local painter that was recommended by some friends that restore classic cars. Used acrylic urethane (2 part), had some minor dents taken out, color sanded and buffed. Looks great! Cost me $1550. I checked around quite a bit and this price is for a good quality, not show, paint job. I'm in CA where the EPA makes this paint the only "legal" type, or so I'm told. Other quotes I got ranged from $500-$700 for synthetic urethane (which is also equivelant to German paint quality, or so I'm told) which will only last a few years (I still ? that). Also, if I wanted show quality the price goes up considerably depending on condition of body (could be $3000 to $6000), but this is a daily driver. FYI
