: hey 02ers

: are the 45 sidedraft setup suitable for the street? one of my buddy's friend is selling this setup for $500, is this worth it? how much power will i gain from this setup. currently have 292 cam with minor port and polish head. thanks

Yes, if they are correctly setup. (linkage, syncronisation, chokes, jets etc...) One problem might be finding a suitable air cleaner assembly (tight fit) especially if you drive in conditions where you need pre heated air.
With a header, electrical fan and a couple of weber 45īs you can expect the engine to have about 120-130 hp. The cam and porting helps some.
160 hp is easy to reach with some headwork- and about 200 is the max hp output that ive seen measured in a reliable source- more than that basically needs a charged engine. Ive seen 800 hp!! (in an M10 engine)
