: A friend wrenches a '64 Elva race car with a 2002 engine - 48DCOEs, full up race setup, race gasoline, etc. Dyno testing showes 225hp output, which is the most that the dyno guy had seen. He said that usually 40s are about the max for a race engine, but this engine is set up correctly for 48s, and is the most he had ever seen from one of those engines.

40 are very nice for the street
45 are usually a bit large but caan work well
