: the kit is designed to SHUT OFF your ignition and allow the unburned carb gases
: to flow down the pipes and ignite in the rear. I don't know the particulars of
: the 74 tii inj system, but if it's like my 1974 142DL volvo, you CAN shut off
: power to the distributor and the sensor at the bottom of the dist will continue
: to provide a timing pulse to the EFI controls to continue injecting.
: Does this sound right at all, I know this isn't very 2002ish, but I think it would be kinda cool, I still have the pic of that turbo shooting flames out of the rear of his car and would love to look the same. Any ideas comments, I don't care, flame me if you want (ha I thought it was funny, anyway...)
: 74 tii with panasports, custom exhaust, front spoiler, stereo, m touches, and hopefully new suspension first
Tii injectors spray a bunch of fuel. What do you think is happening when all that fuel is washing the oil off your cylinder walls when you have killed the ignition? Nothing good I assure you. If you are lucky you will only blow off a rear muffler, if not save your money for an engine rebuild a lot sooner than you expect. Buy a turbo and do it right!
