: Has any one done this horrible thing to their car, "get maaco"!. Mine looks like an old beat up rusted (only on the outside) bathtub. So with limited budget and knowing that the car is in the streets in New York City, I need a paint job that will hold but doesn't need to be "super" nice. The question is (finally) has anyone used maaco ? And how was it?, or do you have a recommendation for a shop in the city?

Remember you get what you pay. Used them on some of my farm vehicles and wouldn't go beyond that. Paint jobs had runs, they didn't put all my parts back on and didn't secure others. They were farm trucks that don't get out in public much which is a good thing from the looks.

I wouldn't send in my 2002 do a discount shop.

Good luck

KC
