I had the SAME symptoms on mine - but it was a faulty float valve. Since yours both have equal fuel in them - I'd check main jets (swap them, perhaps?)

try a synchrometer also - to see what "flow" might be different. I'd suspect vacuum leaks - but they tend to cause big "sucking" sounds with every piston stroke. How's the condition of the linkage (from #1 carb to #2 carb?

I had a nut get loose and then blow out the soft mount on TWO cylinders - bummer - since they distort and cannot be reinstalled.

If you need a synchrometer or new soft mounts - let me know - they're easy for us to get quickly.
