: I have a stock motor (8:1 comp.) with an e12 head, but was wondering if a e21 head from an 82 320 will bolt on direct without having to do anything to the bottom end? Any compression loss?

: TIA,

My understanding is that the e21 head will fit just fine as they used it on the late model 02. I have one on my 02 from a 76. With the versions on the 320 you lose the hole for the mechanical fuel pump and have to have it machined or fit an electrical pump. I am unsure of what difference it will make to the compression, but I suspect minimal as there is only a 1cc difference in the chamber volume. Be careful when loking for a head - many of them are cracked! Terje
