Anyone using Eric Kerman engines? (archive)

I've been talking to and e-mailing Eric Kerman of Long Island about building a 2.0L Stage 2 engine for my '72 non-Tii. Does anyone have any experience with him or his engines? He seems very knowledgable about '02 motors and I think he's been honest about what I can expect in terms of trading fuel-efficiency for horsepower, but I need other opinions (first-hand accounts of doing business with him and/or using his engines). Thanks so very much for any info you can provide.

P.S. Anyone in the SF Bay Area in need of an engine(leaky, but still very strong) is welcome to drive mine before I have it pulled out. (121 head)
