Photos were taken in 4 locations

-body shop....owner is a real craftsman, keeps it spotless
-engine shop...owner is a die-hard BMW fan; also runs a clean shop
-my residential garage (suburban Toronto)
-my basement

Today, the car is sitting in my garage surrounded by garbage cans, gardening
paraphenolia and anything else my SO puts in there...my workspace is
not as spotless as people might perceive.

WRT to other questions people have asked me through email:

Things I did myself

-parted out the original 73 tii
-did the suspension work (front and back)
-wiring harness; added dedicated ground lines before I re-wrapped
-interior work
-detailing and stripping of the components inside engine bay
-re-furbishing pedal box, brake booster, m/c, steering box

Things I out-sourced

-body work
-engine re-build
-5-speed (not done yet)

Parts were sourced through the Internet as follows

firewall blanket, drain tubes, grommets CNPR
all new rubber gaskets Bimmerparts
big brake job (rotors, drums); new bearings Ireland
sway bar kit CNPR
A/C pulley, sticker kit 2002Haus
Eibachs Pro-Kit Bekkers
HD Bilsteins Bav. Auto
car cover; BMP
front/Rear brace kit Top End
sound deadening Wurth (body shop)
OEM epoxy undercoating (trunk & underside) Wurth (body shop)
tub 2002AD
dash with no cracks Local guy sold it to me

Things about myself and the car's history

-not a mechanic; just an engineer with a DIY spirit
-bought the car 15 years ago in 85', 3rd year of university
-daily driver for 7 years, before the Canadian rust caught up with it
-drove it through rain, snow and sleet;
-ask me about soggy carpets
-ask me about black ice in the winter
-parked for 7 years until last year, started the restoration
-14 months and counting.
