: 45's are widely regarded as a track carb as opposed to a street carb, especially on a stock 02.
: But w/ the headers and the tii dist you are partially there. Depending on what you have for pistons, a hot camshaft may be all the additional stuff you need in the engine bay to put all that stuff to its best use. Oh, and a 3-core radiator if you have any cooling problems now.
: The rest of the car, though, is another story. You really should do brakes and suspension before starting to add horsepower. If the car doesn't go fast enough, its not fatal. If the car doesn't stop, or doesn't steer, well, that can turn out far worse.
: You might find that trading the 45's for a set of 40's or even a nice 38/38 might be your best option.
: But then, I have to admit that I'm sitting here half thinking you of offering you my set of 40's for those 45's... Not that I need any further loss of low-end grunt. But it is tempting to go for broke.
: If you decide to keep and install all that stuff you will be taking the first step on the slippery slope of hot-rodding the car. It's almost impossible to stop once you begin. Beware.
