We can start from Half Moon Bay, head up 92, then turn right on 35 (Skyline), which provides great views of the Bay Area AND the Santa Cruz Mountains in some places. Turn left at Woodside or Page Mill (both tight), or left at Highway 9 (faster sweepers and smoother). Die hards can U-turn at the bottom of the hill in Saratoga and head back up, it's great going uphill too. Wouldn't recommend reversing this course back to Half Moon Bay, as that left-hand turn onto 92 from 35 is HAIRY (blind from both sides, no lights or signs).
