I read an article that mentioned the bubble cars with "easy access" doors were also designed somewhat for use by injured WW II German veterans.

Ater clambering into the 'Schmidt - - I don't see how it could be easier than any other car on the road in 1954.

Now the Isetta....That car was easy to get in / out of.
