The only advice I can give you is a little heads up on popular autocross cars that you should be able to run with depending on the state of development of your car.
Though of bone stock tii motor, my car has a fairly well developed suspension and a 3.9 LS. I am a competant driver, and run equivalent times to first generation RX7s in similar condition, DSP X19s, and some of the good FSP cars. My car weighs in at 2300lbs.
Have fun. Make freinds in all marques. Autocross people are very freindly. It is only the single marque club people that get a little fussy about this tribe and that. In my experience, if you can run with the SCCA crowd, you can do quite well in a single marque event.
