IMHO, a lot depends on where you are and how much grief you're willing to put up with. One car you can drive right now and the other has more future potential if you can get the fuel injection system working.

If you're in California in one of the major urban areas such as Los Angeles or San Francisco, there are several '02 shops that can fix the tii problems. But, it will cost you.

Other comments.

1. A working A/C is great accessory to have. Same is true for a working sunroof.
2. I hate the stock seats no matter how good condition they're in. Recaros or 320is recaros are much more comfortable.
3. Both cars seem to be overpriced, especially the tii if it's not running right.
4. Either way, look for rust EVERYWHERE and have a qualifired '02 mechanic inspect the car from one end to the other.
