: : i was trying to remove my plugs for tune up purposes but no matter how much i tried wrenching on the ratchet i couldn't budge the plug!
: : i'm using a 13/16 spark plug socket with a 3/8" drive ratchet.
: : i don't know if it's cuz i don't have the leverage or the wrong size drive but it's been frustrating! and no mechanic at a gas station has been samaratin enough to just loosen the plugs for me! one numb nut was even charging me $20 bux!
: : any advise please.....
: : thanx.
: You have to use an extension 3" plus the spark plug socket 13/16 to get on the plug. Remember--Lefty Loose--Righty Tight.
: And after you get them out, if you are lucky without damage to the head, you will need to put some antisieze on the threads. If you strip out a spark plug hole, you will have to helicoil it to fix it.

try a cheater bar omly if all else fails. 2 foot piece of pipe that will slip over the end of the ratchet. Please re read above before attempting.
put wrench on at the 12 oclock position and push toward the windshield
