So I went to see the '91 318is powered car. This is the same one advertised around a year ago on this board. It runs well. Compression excellent, 5spd good, 320LS diff. Big brakes need rotors, Coilover front susp. Recaro's need recovering but hey, there they are. No structural rust but the beginings of decay are evident: door bottoms, around glass and trims, roof molding etc. A proper paint job would definatley require removal of all glass. I know we always advocate to find a rust free car first and work on the mechanicals after but what do we consider to be reasonably rust free? The floors, towers, sills, F&R subframe all checkout. I can get the car for around 3k. I think it's worth it no? Remember I am in the norht east (02 desert).

Thanks in advance for all replies, BTW my beautifull '76 with front end dammage is still for sale (wish I had a garage and ability to weld).

Jonathan T.
