: There was a special model available in black but it came on the market after March of 1975-this was to keep interest in the 02s while the E21s where being readied. The "black variant" had light alloy wheels, folding door pockets the "L" seat covers with center arm rests front and rear and wooden door cappings. I have never heard of any of these cars being imported to the US (there was also a polaris version) and anyway this was a 1975, not a 1974, as in this case. However as previous posts have stated, schwarz is rare and looks cool on the 2002.

: 1975 Chamonix (unlike Schwarz very common)

i agree the schwarz does look sharp, do you have any guess as to it's value, obviously a real tough think without pictures etc... it's been a long time since I fooled with these cars, the last one I had was a 76 non tii, a real nice car that I traded in on a 265 volvo wagon, ouch! before that
I had a 69 1600, which was a great car and before that a 69-02, I sold the 76 in about 82. I haven't
paid any attention to pricing until recently. There is an elderly guy who lives near me who I know has had a green 72 or 73-02 in his garage since around 1980. I happened to see him in front of his house and I stopped and asked if he was ever going to sell it. He was surprised that I knew about it
and surprised me when he said he would consider an offer! Turns out he's a retired engineer (dutch) who knew the car inside out. I didn't get too close a look at it but it appears to be in very nice shape, dark green with an almost cognac colored interior. Two days later I came across the Black! My wife is gonna kill me.
