: : I just did the Volvo 4 piston calipers on 320 vented rotors. Things look great and one 1/2" SAE washer was sufficient to almost perfectly center the caliper on the rotor. As reported earlier, I had to cut away some of the backing plate to clear the calipers. Again no big deal, 5 minutes with a hacksaw and file.

: : Now my problem. My stock 13" wheels (circa '72) don't clear, and it looks like about 3/8" off the calipers is required to make the wheels fit. This isn't a huge problem, since I was planning on going to 14" wheels anyway, but what do I do about a spare?? My Scott's soul will support my habit and allow be to buy nice wheels, but one for the spare seems excessive.
