If the little goodie on the top of the strut is mangled and you have nothing to hold the shock rod with while you turn the nut then an air impact wrench is the only way to go. Compress the spring and take the whole outfit to a local garage and have them pop it off. Saves lots of hassle. I agree with Dwight 100%, only way to go when you are stuck. Terje
