I like it alot. I augmented the self adhesive with a 3M spray-on glue. It worked great.

Yes, the insulation does help limit noise by reducing deck lid vibration. The foil keeps the pad from being soaked with oil and dirt (which will happen eventually even if your engine doesn't leak) Oil and road goo are the reasons that your original pads have decomposed to dust.

Looks cool? Why, yes, it does! It gives the inside a more finished look.
