: There is an elderly guy who lives near me who I know has had a green 72 or 73-02 in his garage since around 1980. I happened to see him in front of his house and I stopped and asked if he was ever going to sell it. He was surprised that I knew about it
:I live in NJ so smog isn't as big an issue, but I'm curious, what year do they draw the line at in CA. I'm going to go back and give the green one a look, again though he wants an offer? so I need to research that more.

: Scott, I would seriously follow up on the green 72-73. If the tii has a rusty floor board, no telling what the rest of the car is like. Remember the tii was stored outside the last year and a half and the 72-73 was stored inside a garage it's life. The cost of rust repair compared to fixing mechanicals is childs play. I am sure the owner of the 72-73 could give you the detailed history of the car. It seems like the tii was not take care of by its previous owners and the regular 02 was. If you live in CA, remember that you still have to get the tii smogged and the 72-73 is smog exempt. For pricing info on 02's, try http://autos.recycler.com 20-30 So Cal 02's for sale weekly in all price ranges to include a few tii's.
