Most all automotive springs are linear not progressive because the ride and handling quality of progressive springs is very hard to calculate and predict. Recently, spring manufacturers have introduced a two stage spring in which the coils at one end are more tightly wound than the main section. This allows installation without the use of a spring compressor. When the body weight is lowered onto the springs, the close wound springs collapse into contact with each other and the spring is then linear based on the main body spring winding. Check to see the coil spacing once the vehicle is on the ground.
