: A friend of mine has some Dunlop P205/50ZR15 set of four tires. Will they fit my 1972 2002?

Go out and look at the sidewall of your tires. Look for the numbers that indicate size. If your car is stock, it probably has 13" tires and wheels, a good many 02's have been upgraded to 14" tires and wheels. Although some 02's have 15" wheels and tires, they are not as common. Thus, most likely you will find they will not fit as you cannot put a 15" tire on a 14 or 13 inch wheel. Go to Bimmers.org and check out the stuff on 02's and then to the tire/wheel section. You will then have a good education. If you are interested in new tires, go to tirerack.com and there is an engine that will take you through the various sizes and brands that will fit your car.

Hope this helps,

Mike
