: tried bleeding my clutch. i would loosen the bleeder valve have someone depress the clutch. when it was fully depressed, i would tighten the valve. it would sucked bubbles on the way up. can seem to get the air out. what to do?

FWIW, when I bled the brakes and clutch on my E36 I had the same problem(s). Turns out the manual calls for you to remove the slave, position it upright, and move the slave plunger in/out while cracking/tightening the bleed valve. PITA but it worked like a champ.
