Guys,

As a physicst it was truely perplexing to try and understand the difference between torque and HP. But what it really comes down to, is making more torque at a higher RPM is essential for race applications. Drive-ability is a whole different ball game.

P.S. Fun fact, take two equivalent cars, say 2002tii, one makes peak, rpm at 6,000 RPM, the other at 12,000 RPM, with the same amount of peak torque. Both will feel equivalently as fast, period. The one with peak HP at 10,000 RPM will make double the HP. The one with higher peak HP will take better advantage of gearing and accelrate quicker.
