Check engine mounts for cracks or distortion sounds like engine is rocking in 1st and pulling on linkage. Marty
I have a 76 02 with duel webber 40s and a 292 cam. problem is often when coming out of first gear the car accelerates like crazy(dangerous situation)feels as if the pedal is stuck but it is not. surging is worse when making a left or right(accelaration combined with turning)often i must take the car out of gear or quickly shift into second to slow the car down. is this a jetting problem??? linkage problem??? once out of first car accelerates smoothly. no surging. Also car runs rough at idle is this just how cars with 292cams run or is there another problem. Would air horns improve the idle, if so what size. I am a real novice here and thanks in advance for any advice you coud give me.
