Real age of 2002A??? (archive)

My vin number is 4282735.

Title says 1975.

Vin register says that number belongs to 1974 model.

Bought new points and rotor for 75 model, didn't fit. Exchanged them for the 1974 model and they fit.

All signs point to it really being a 1974 but didn't the initial title come from BMW so why does it say 1975?
