Sorry if I broke your dream
but restoration and even repair of 2000CS
is in the same league as the 2800 and 3000CSi
ASTRONOMICALY expensive.
Nothing to compare with 2002.

The problem is that it cost the same as 2800CS
and will always be worth tree time less...

That's the car with a strange face and that
have the 4 cyl. and wood all over greenbay.

so - this is the story: i have a chance to acquire a '68 2000CS for about 900$. what is the catch? the catch is that the car was parked in '83 and was not moved since. it needs heavy restoration in all areas - body / upholstery / engine. it has all parts (either in their place or in the trunk). all glass is OK (one light mirror is rusted)......

question is: is it worth it?

i am not going to sell it after restoration (if i decide to buy it) - but it is going to be a kind of investment...... i have a '73 2002 to be my daily driver and this 2000CS is a kind of a "dream machine".....

any kind of advice or suggestion is much appreciated!
