howdy boys and gals:

issue no. 1: on installing the '72 tii block in my '74tii, i noticed that i had to move the adjustable motor mount forward a tad. the mounts are both in great shape, however. now i notice that the tips of my fan blades are roached, obviously from striking the rad....what to do? you know there's precious little clearance there in the first place. i'll try to bend the rad flanges a bit---are there other fans that have a different shape, perhaps?

issue no. 2. if my alternator is roached from last week's episode with the throttle linkage i'll need a new one. but what do i have now? it is a bosch reman, "Y AL40X" AND UNDERNEATH THAT IS "804 Y 12 98 864"....THE "Y'S" and the 12 98 are stamped on, so i assume that stuff deals with the reman info and date. there are NO OTHER MARKINGS?!?! (cep't for the scratch marks from dragging it outta there!)

tia/ck
