when i had no key for my '76, a friend and i hot wired it through the engine compartment. but now that i've replaced the ignition switch i'm not getting any response from the starter. my other car has one wire and plug on the starter. this car looks like it has two plugs on it w/ one wire that was loose from the hot wiring. i've tried it on both plugs and even figured out how to remote start the other car from the diagnostic plug. but i can't get the '76 to do the same.

what could i be missing?
TIA
rob

If you jumped it acrossed the selinoid and removed any wires make shure that the wires are connected and makeing good contact.
