The ceramic thingy is a resistor.
It essentially reduces the amount of electicity flowing to the coil.
The gizmo on the distributor is a condenser (capacitor). It prevents the the electricty flowing through the points from arcing across the gap when the points are open.
What is capacitor ? is it a condenser?
I thought a capacitor is a little circuit thingy that holds a charge until the circuit is closed then zap, it releases, and a condensor was the little ceramic thingy that reduces the incoming voltage so as not to fry up your coil.....or I'm completely wrong if so what was that little ceramic thing called?????
