Need another coolant sensor port (archive)

Anyone know how I can rig up another coolant temp sensor port for my 74 tii? I have the coolant outlet with the 2 ports already used and need one more for an aux VDO gauge. Was thinking of brazing a brass ftg. to a short piece of 1 3/4" pipe and placing between top rad. hose and coolant outlet fitting.
