I had my 69's steering coulumn out today, and there it was, a 3/4" hardened steel spear just waiting to be driven into my chest at anything over 35mph. So does anybody know about retrofitting a collapsible steering column into these cars? Would an e21 or e30 one fit? (Did these cars have collapsible steering collumns??) I suppose with a e21 or e30 swap, one would just have to upgrade to rack and pinion steering...
