The best way I have found is to just remove the top plate. Disengage the choke butterflies from the linkage. There is a spring loaded retainer on the bottom of the shaft. Just lift the plunger out of the slot connecting it to the linkage. When you look at it it should make sense. Then remove the screws holding the top plate on. Once it is off, you can get to everything inside.


a 32/36?. i took out the air correction jets but the tubes seemed solid, i didn't want to use a bradle to get them out in case i scratched them, is it easier with the carb removed?
