Helo all. I have a couple of questions concerning my '75. I currently have a Weber 40 DFAV, a tii distributor and a header on my MM 2200 engine. First of all I have no fast idle when cold. My mechanic recently put a carb kit on the car and it made no difference. Could this be fixed with a simple adjustment or is it related to the tii distributor?? The car idles fine when warm. Also I have a vapor lock problem when shutting down a hot engine. I can actually hear the gas in the carb bowls boiling after about 10 minutes. I can see the base gasket between the carb and intake manifold. Do I need a thicker one? Previous to this instillation I had a 32/36 and a header but no problem. Any suggestions appreciated.
