If you choose #2, the entire rear end of your car will eventually be absolutely digustingly filthy with oil-soaked dirt. My car had about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch of GUNK all over the rear subframe, and that is not an exaggeration. however, when I did clean it all off, the metal was in excellent shape and absoultely rust free. also, i doubt if my rear subframe had ever been cleaned in its 31 year existence, so theres that too...

Coupla options:

1: Drill a hole in the baseplate of your itg and put a hose barb in it to fit the breather hose.

2: Run the hose down to the ground behind the bellhousing.

3: Run the hose to a vented catchbottle. Bicycle water bottles and cages work well for this, just make some vents in the bottle (at the top of it works best.

4: Get a breather vent filter, edelbrock makes one that will fit, I have heard that ones for VW's will fit also.

IMHO: Don't do #1, it will gunk up your new filter and carb. #2 works fine, but can dirty up your driveway. #3 seems alotta work when #4 will work just as well. I've currently got #2, keep meaning to go get that vent filter for #4.

I opted for #2 , just run the hose long enough to clear the underside of the car, so the blow bye will crap up the streets and not your oil soaked tranny!
