first, is your trunk smelling of gas when you open it?

If so, then the source is more thank likely in there..could be the vapor tank or the return line. Check for cracks, etc...

If not, then it's probably coming from somewhere in the engine compartment. Replace all fuel lines (takes about two hours to do all)...INCLUDING the fuel return hose coming off of the diverter valve (if you still have it on)! Mine was the original cloth-covered type & was so soaked that gas was dripping on the area where the radiator overflow hose exits (& I thought I had coolant problems until I actually got up close & smelled it).
