If you're going to re-core, have the radiator shop put in three cores instead of the stock two. All tii's seem to have cooling problems stock, mine did, and it still doesn't like sitting still on a hot day, even with a E21 rad. This is a well-known design defect, upgrading the 80 hp 1602 motor to 2002tii spec without upgrading the cooling system.

You probably know all this, anyway.
