Just received the Complete Roundel from Bentley Publishers. It's amazing to see how big a roll the '02 has played in not only BMW's history, but also in the history of the BMWCCA.

Anyway, on with the subject of the post. I saw an interesting tidbit in the October '76 issue that JC Penney's was about to roll out their lifetime battery warranty, that is, they will replace the battery for free for life as long as it remains in the original car and that car is registered to the original purchaser of the battery. I bought mine in '78 and went back yesterday to get another replacement, I believe the 9th one so far and counting. My friends say the the only reason I hang on to the car is to keep the warranty valid.
