I just took off my cylinder head and when I took a close look at it, I noticed 2 hairline cracks between the valves on #2 and 3 cylinders. Is this head salvageable? Is this a really big problem? The car ran fine prior to discovering this problem. What needs to be done? Any input is greatly appreciated.

you have a really big problem!
cheapest fix is a place in California that does BMW heads .URL I am not sure will look as I have time .head and a mild cam what a difference.
can be fix locally if anyone can weld the shinny stuffin your town.but Californa is likely better and cheaper
