Hi Manny,

The only thing I can add to what has already been said is to use a 50/50 mix of de-ionized (di) water with any good anti-freeze coolant. De-ionized water can be found at almost any major super market as regular distilled water uses a de-ioniztion process.

DI water will help, along with the anti-freeze, to prevent any further corosion build up in the cooling system. HTH.

I am going to perform the first mechanical surgery (I know it's very minor)
by changing my old radiator (on a 76) with a brand new one I got a few weeks ago.
Any advice to the novice?
